Mike & Kaylee are the type of people that I think just CLICK with others right off the bat. They're both down to earth, friendly, and you can tell after surrounding yourself with their friends and family for a day, that they're just truly lovable people who come from awesome, supportive families.
The ladies got ready at the Medicine Hat Lodge in the morning, complete with matching tank tops, champagne popping, lots of laughter and music a'pumpin'! Mike & his groomsmen got all dapper out at his parent's house (surrounded by vintage cars I might add). The driveway was overflowing with classic cars and each one of them had a part in the day. It was hard to get Matt focused with all the shiny, pretty chrome around...
The gents all headed out to Echodale Park in a classy line of vehicles and Kaylee arrived in a vintage truck with her father, down the hillside of Echodale at just the right time.
The weather was perfect, a slight breeze to keep the 'skeeters at bay, and a park full of excited family and friends. The ceremony went off without a hitch, and Mike's dad even surprised him with a reading at the ceremony.
After the wedding, we headed out and got to spend some time shooting with the wedding party, and Mike & Kaylee and of course....the cars. :) This wedding party was hilarious and time FLEW by! Before we knew it we were off to the reception at Seven Persons Community Hall. If you've ever been to the Hall before you'd know it's a nice, big space, white, clean, but Kaylee and her wedding designer transformed the place!! It didn't even look the same. Her yellow and gray chevron scheme, accented with bright yellow lemons and paper lanterns from the ceiling made it look GORGEOUS. I can't say more about her cookie table...oh my word. I was shooting it, and basically trying not to drool on all the options of cookies available. It was INCREDIBLE. I don't even have a sweet tooth, but the Milk & Cookies were calling for me!
The meal was delish, the speeches were full of laughter & love and the end of the night was followed by some cigar smoking, milk and cookie dunking, and a topless groomsmen taking charge of the dance floor. I don't think you can cap a night off any better than that?! Can you?!
Mike & Kaylee- Congrats on your Big Day, we hope to work with you two again in the future and wish you all the best in your marriage! (ps. Give your pup a hug from us!)
