Chelsey & Tyson's wedding was incredible! It was the first one of the year for us, (I know, I know, I'm behind in posting about it! sorry!) and we were blessed with some INCREDIBLE weather for the 4th of March! It was the same weekend as Canada's Hometown Hockey event in downtown Medicine Hat, and their wedding was literally in the centre of it all! These two looked amazing, and their bridesmaid's dresses were gold sequins! A perfect match for the Monarch.
Tyson & Chelsey chose to do a first look at the Beveridge where the ladies were getting ready. We love doing a first look between the bride & groom. It's always such a special moment for the couple, and their wedding was no exception. It's such a gorgeous venue, so we decided to do a few photos there before we headed out to Finlay Bridge with their wedding party.
Because of the Hometown Hockey Event, Finlay Bridge was void of traffic and the couple had gotten us special permission to shoot on the Bridge! This was a once in a blue moon opportunity, and it was March...and it was WARM! What a perfect day! So we took advantage of it, and had a blast with their wedding party. I LOVE when everyone in the wedding party knows each other, and gets along, and all of Tyson & Chelsey's friends had been friends since elementary school!! How perfect!! They were completely comfortable laughing and joking, and looking silly with each other which allowed us to capture some truly fun, moments.
Their ceremony took place across the street from the Beveridge Building-at the Monarch Theatre, another gorgeous venue in Medicine Hat's downtown core. They were married by Betty Lou Suidan, and afterwards, the guests got to watch a sweet slideshow movie featuring the bride & groom! Chelsea & Tyson were invited up onto the Marquee to get some photos while their guests headed to cocktail hour at the Beveridge! Great service from the Monarch. :)
After a few quick shots on the marquee, we headed straight over to the Beveridge Building for their reception! Their reception was wonderful, food catered by Moxies was DELISH, and the speeches and Emcee's were hilarious. Speeches are always a fun time for Matt and I. It's when we TRULY get to hear about the couple from their friends and family, and you learn A LOT. Haha, in Tyson's case-maybe too much. He's a little bit more of a trouble maker than we realized! ;) hahaha!
Chelsey & Tyson-We wish you the absolute best! Thanks to you, and your hilarious wedding party for kickin' our 2017 Wedding season off right! :)
